The Loneliness of Command by Chris Thompson

This image I call “The Loneliness of Command”. While in all the other series the main commander was always treated like a father figure, a grumpy old git with a softer side, Colonel White on the other hand was far more of a “superior”. Deliberately distancing himself from his team, either behind his desk or looking out into the observation desk. Oddly enough despite being cold and harsh (ordering the destruction of Blue’s and Ochre’s plane or abandoning the search for Symphony) he was always a very likeable character. I have put the camera as far into the set as possible give distance. The cloud-base set was very tricky as it changed from episode to episode. It was also incredibly garish and moderately impractical (observation decks on both sides not corresponding to the model and a tiny entrance in the side). The trickiest piece being the glass section filled with circuit boards in front of Green’s chair.
